NHS Patient policies

NHS Registration Policy

According to the NHS contract with dental practices, the arrangement between a clinician and a patient usually only lasts for the duration of a specific course of treatment. Once the treatment is completed, there is no automatic or permanent registration with the dental practice, unlike the arrangement patients may have with a GP (general practitioner).
If further dental care is needed in the future, patients may need to re-register or seek care elsewhere, particularly if the original practice is not accepting new patients at that time.

NHS patients, non-regular attender policy

Patients who don’t attend for their routine appointments as recommended by clinician are placed on our waiting list and will be offered appointments as per our capacity. Currently we have a lot of patients on our waiting list and estimated wait time is 12 months.

NHS Patient Pre-booking Policy

Patients are requested to contact our practice 30 days prior to their recommended recall date to arrange an examination appointment.

Missed or Late Cancelled NHS patient appointment policy

We require two working days notice to cancel or rebook appointments

We do not charge for missed NHS appointments.

To rebook your missed or late cancelled appointment, we kindly recommend contacting the practice with your preferred time—preferably by text message to 07817 176 134—early in the morning before 8:00 AM on your preferred day. We will then inform you if any NHS slots are available for that day.

NHS patient rebooking pre-booked appointment policy

Due to limited availability, patients wishing to rebook their pre-booked appointments will be added to our cancellation list and notified when the next available slot becomes open.
Please let us know the days and times that are most convenient for you.
